Fairy TALES : WHAT ARE THEY?
There are many different definitions that are associated with
fairy tales, and although there are many different views about fairy tales they
all have similar understandings. These include

1. A fanciful tale of legendary deeds and creatures, usually intended for children.
2. A fictitious, highly fanciful story or explanation.
Fairy tales that were created by the Brothers Grimm to be for all age groups, however as the tales have grown and developed over time have become more appropriate and suitable for young children, much as the definition implies.
The Grimm Brothers originally collected their now famous tales from their villages and surrounded villages the tales that were told we ones that were told by parents to their children each tale was told slightly differently each time because those telling the stories wanted to make the tales their own. This helped the Brother Grimm to have a range of different endings and were then able
to create their own endings to their now famous tales.
